Implement cybersecurity for all your company sites in a simple, central and standardised manner – by connecting them to beemNet, Swisscom’s secure corporate network. This protects all of your sites (and therefore all connected devices, users and networks) against cyberthreats from the Internet by hosting them on beemNet.
How your company sites are protected
Your company sites are directly connected to beemNet using your broadband connection, so all devices, users and networks connected at the sites are automatically hosted in beemNet and protected against cyberthreats. beemNet is operated, continuously updated and developed by Swisscom security professionals.
beemNet also makes it easy to scale the protection enjoyed by your entire company through the use of the beem Security Editions, and to benefit from comprehensive security functions.
Extend your protection with beem
Simply secure, for everyone and everything, everywhere and always, with beem: if your company sites have beem, you can simply scale up your company’s protection against cyberthreats and centrally manage it for all your users and sites.
Comprehensively protect your users
Enhance the protection for your users and even integrate business partners – whether they work at a company site, from home or on the move. Users receive secure access to the Internet on all computers, tablets and smartphones – and with that secure access to company data from anywhere.
To some extent. In most cases, beem can replace existing security solutions; for example, your firewall, VPN gateways for remote access and e-mail security. Depending on the client operating system, we recommend still using antivirus software on the end devices, as although beem analyses data traffic, it is unable to check data that is stored on client devices. Further useful additions to beem include secure cloud storage solutions and backups, Security Awareness Training and instant assistance in the event of a cyber attack. Discover our complementary security solutions and services for both SMEs and enterprise customers.
If a device is connected to beemNet, all data streams are transmitted via beemNet and subjected to numerous security checks. Unlike with many other security solutions, the data traffic in beemNet undergoes all security checks at the same time (single pass) – guaranteeing speed and high data throughput rates. Inbound and outbound data traffic is inspected and unauthorised access from the Internet as well as accidental clicks on malicious websites are blocked.
In addition to the above, devices connected to beemNet are anonymised with respect to Internet services through the use of various security technologies. This reduces the risk of erroneous security configurations and outdated operating systems, thus protecting all connected devices against cyberthreats, whether they are PCs, Macs, smartphones, printers, production machines or similar. For comprehensive protection for users when on the move or working from home, we recommend the use of beem user licences. Users with a user licence including mobile subscription are automatically hosted on beemNet as they on the Swisscom mobile network. The Swisscom beem app is required in order to encrypt data traffic in third-party networks. The app also installs the necessary certificates on the end device – or alternatively these can be installed using the integrated Device Management function (with beem Basic or above) or manually. This enables analysis of even encrypted data (Deep Packet Inspection), so malware can be detected and blocked.
With beem Basic or above and the appropriate user licences, client devices with an up-to-date operating system can also be managed as an option. This enables device settings to be configured automatically to further increase security.
As soon as you have purchased new company sites with beemNet or added beemNet to existing sites, the protection is active. You do not need any additional hardware or software.
To protect a site using beemNet, you need a Swisscom business customer broadband connection (fibre or copper). To protect employees, business partners and their PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones, regardless of their company site, beem offers various user licences. This enables users to connect to beemNet from anywhere and on any WLAN, broadband or mobile network.
If you deactivate beemNet for a company site, the data traffic will no longer be transmitted via beemNet and you will lose your comprehensive protection against cyberthreats. You will still have the minimal basic protection that you receive automatically from your Swisscom router.
Cancelling beemNet for your site will not affect your Internet subscription, fixed network telephony or other services. In some cases, certain configurations for your local infrastructure will have to be adapted.
